Refund Policy
Buying a LemonPress book package and beginning your manuscript review are two separate steps. Nothing becomes non-refundable until you choose to begin. After that, because LemonPress has started creating work specifically for your book, book packages are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or where the problem is ours.
Two separate steps: buying, then beginning
When you purchase a LemonPress book package, you are not charged for beginning your manuscript review at the same moment. Purchasing and authorizing manuscript processing are deliberately kept separate, so you have a clear moment where you decide to begin.
What you are buying
A LemonPress book package is a personalized digital service. Once you authorize manuscript processing, LemonPress begins performing work specific to your book, such as building your Book Blueprint, analyzing your manuscript, producing editorial findings, and preparing publishing guidance. This work is created from your manuscript and delivered to you quickly.
When a purchase becomes non-refundable
Because that personalized work cannot be returned once it has been performed, a book package becomes non-refundable once you authorize manuscript processing. Before you authorize processing, the package may be refundable in line with this policy. This is shown clearly before you begin, so the choice is informed.
This is about changed minds, not failures
This policy exists so that someone cannot receive the core personalized service and then ask for their money back simply because they changed their mind. It is not meant to keep your money when something goes wrong on the LemonPress side.
When LemonPress will make it right
This policy does not take away rights you cannot waive. LemonPress will address situations such as a duplicate charge, an incorrect charge, a fraudulent transaction, or a genuine technical failure where LemonPress cannot provide the service you purchased. If LemonPress cannot deliver what you paid for, that is its problem to fix.
Costs LemonPress does not control
Some publishing costs are charged by outside companies, such as ISBN purchases, printed proof copies and their shipping, printing and distribution platform fees, and any professionals you choose to hire. Those are not LemonPress fees and are not covered by this policy; their own providers set their terms.
Nothing is charged yet
LemonPress payments are not active. This policy describes how refunds will work once purchasing is available, and it will be shown again at checkout before you buy.
